Extensions in DG3 comes as catalog with files in a specific format. The extensions can be code files for html, css, javascript and python or pages and the likes that can be created by DG3. Most extensions comes as default turned off and needs to be activated before use. You find all available extension in the settings section.

In DG3 you can create your own or install others extensions to be used as first class citizens of the system. The only thing you have to do is make sure you ship the extensions with your application if others needs to make adjustment and redeploy the applications.

All extensions are installed in your DG3 home (usually DG3Apps in users documents catalog) under a catalog named "extensions". Each folder in this catalog is scanned at startup for .conf files for the different types of extensions. They look, feel and works the same way as the native one.
